Randy the Second
Randy’s Journal successfully transitioned to a new Randy and he’s already said hello to the blogosphere. Earlier, I wrote about Randy the First’s (Baseler) retirement and their succession plan to Randy the Second (Tinseth) — it’s relatively easy to do when both bloggers are named Randy! In keeping with the fun they’ve had with the blog and transtion, I’m joking about the majestic First and Second monikers. They liked Randy T., Randy #2, Randy-Next Generation, Randy-8, Randy 2.0.
I don’t know Randy Tinseth yet, but I’m sure he’s going to blog well and keep us all informed about Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The blog has been a remarkable success for Boeing, even more than we expected when we wrote about it in Publish & Prosper: Blogging for your Business.
As I told Jim Condelles, besides the client/vendor relationship, and being part of a success, I’ve grown very fond of the blog. It was there at the beginning of business blogging. I haven’t spoke much yet about Intel’s at conferences, but their blogs are directly influenced by Boeing.
It took a succession, a brief pause in the action, to fully realize the difference the blog made at Boeing and how much of a pleasure it’s been to work with everyone on it.
Blog on Randy. Blog on.
